Amidst COVID-19, Docplexus Conducts A Remote, Multi-Location Webinar

The whole world is reeling under the outbreak of COVID-19. Vaccines will take their own sweet time to come up. The available drugs aren’t giving the much-needed assurance for a complete prophylaxis of the disease.

Having actionable insights into our community of 3,50,000+ doctors, we are well aware of their current mindset. We have been continuously sharing medical materials, perspectives, and advisories related to COVID-19 on our platform via remote webinars, KOL interviews, medical updates, infocenters, etc.

In other words, there are digital or virtual solutions that can be leveraged, especially in times like these. Pharma marketers need to take notice of such solutions, given the fact that their offline marketing strategies and initiatives are getting derailed.

On 29th March 2020, we were joined by IMPA (Indian Medical Pharmacologists Association), who is our knowledge partner, for a remote, multi-location webinar. The central theme was “COVID-19 Management From Pharmacologists Perspective”.

The participants included Dr. Natesh Prabhu (President IMPA), Dr. MUR Naidu, Dr. Azihil Arasan, Dr. Bikash Medhi, Dr. Subhrojyoti Bhowmik, and Dr. Damodaran, based out of Tiruchirappalli, Hyderabad, Chennai, Chandigarh, and Kolkata, respectively.

i) Available drugs in the published literature which don’t have any approval tag for COVID 19.
ii) The role of Vit C, Zinc supplements & pre-pro biotics in enhancing the immune system.
iii) Role of Clinical Pharmacologists as a part of the COVID 19 Taskforce team.
iv) Hydroxychloroquine in COVID-19 management – PK/PD and clinical evidence.

Given the mindset of HCPs in the current scenario, we received a tremendous response for the webinar. It was viewed on our platform by 450+ community members, and 50+ HCPs asked their questions pertaining to the use of Hydroxychloroquine, Bioelectromagnetism, Azithromycine, etc, to cure COVID-19. We aim to fill the information gap as much as we can during COVID-19, and with that intent we will be conducting more of such webinars in the coming time.
